Hi, I’m Courtney.
Brand designer for supplement, wellness, pharmacy, and lifestyle brands. Based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. National in reach, brief-first in approach.
How I Got Here
I’ve been art-obsessed since I could hold a crayon. If I wasn’t rearranging my room or reading, you could find me always, always sketching (usually horse pictures—I am THAT horse girl). Creativity runs in my family.
But I realized later that while art was fun, applying art to logic presented a unique challenge that I craved. Why make something beautiful if it doesn’t work? So after spending some time studying marketing in college, I spent over a decade on supplement and wellness teams as the person responsible for making work, work. Driving higher traffic and CTRs, soliciting retailer praises on the way our packages “jumped off a shelf.” Making decisions on why this packaging, not that one. Just making pretty things became mundane; strategizing pretty things became energizing.
Now I bring both to every project. Every brand I build is strategic before it’s beautiful. I’m thinking about the customer’s first three seconds with your product, not just whether the logo looks great in a Figma presentation. Brief-first isn’t a tagline for me. It’s the only way I’ve ever known how to work.
Outside The Studio
Where
I’m taking in the beautiful PNW with my family—one husband, two kids, one dog, one cat, three goats, two horses, and a partridge in a pear tree. 😉
Hobbies
Once a horse girl, always a horse girl. I enjoy teaching my kids to ride on our two horses Panda and Houston, and dragging my husband out on the trails every chance I get.
On Repeat
The Office. My philosophy is basically this, and this is something I live by, and always have, and always will. Don’t ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone, for any reason, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you’re with or…or where you are going, or where you have been, ever, for any reason whatsoever.
People Would Say I’m…
Approachable—I really strive to be someone anyone can talk to. A Leader—I am a natural leader (where are my firstborns at?). Still growing and learning how God wants me to use that. Creative—that one should go without saying. But it makes me a great problem solver as I’m always looking at things from outside the box.
